About The ImagesPicture #1Beautiful Nikon D2Hs, 70-200mm 2.8 AF-s, Shot at 70mm, 1/40, f/2.8, ISO 400, window light only. As a Wedding Photographer, each year I choose an area of my photography to improve on. This year my personal theme is "being there".
As the wedding day progresses, if my eye isn't at the viewfinder at all times, I miss moments of emotion that may not occur for the remainder of the day. In this series, Noelle's mother is fanning her tears, proclaimng the beauty she saw as her daughter finished dressing.

Picture #2Wedding Program Nikon D2H, 28-70mm 2.8 AF-D,shot at 28mm, 1/8000 f/3.2, ISO 200, direct sunlight. Placing a Wedding program on some some tall grass in my flower garden, a butterfly joined the view. Two images were combined, using a gradient mask.
I especially liked the shadow pattern created by the leaves of the flower stems. (Another theme for this year. Shadow patterns Picture #3She Waits Nikon D2H, 70-200mm 2.8 AF-s, Shot at 155mm, 1/320, f7.1, ISO 200, direct sunlight. I went to the airport the day the soldiers of the 163rd Artillery deployed. One soldiers' girlfriend waits for him as he runs to the fence for one last goodbye. | |
