Jesika Ellis

Jesika (Sanders) Ellis received a degree in art, with a concentration in photography, from the University of Evansville in 1996, and completed work toward an MFA in Visual Studies at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design in 1999. Her photography and other artwork (painting, drawing and pastels) focus almost exclusively on interpretive landscapes and abstracted subjects from nature, as well as images that isolate details from everyday scenes. Ellis has been active in Evansville area photography clubs and a member and volunteer with the Arts Council of Southwestern Indiana for many years, and her work has been shown in numerous local and regional exhibits since the early 1990s.
