Next Meeting

Our next meeting is Feb 13th 7:00 pm in the Browning Event Room B in the Central Branch of the Evansville Public Library, 200 SE Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Evansville, Indiana.

For our February program, Kim Walker will be sharing her photographs from her recent trip to China with us.

For our January 2012 program, we did introductions of all present giving a little of their Photography background, we had beginners to professionals which is our normal mix at meetings. We then had several members who had equipment to sell and the did a little show and tell about the equipment and offered it to those in attendance. There were several bargins, including some "free" items, we then adjourned to Turoni's where we discussed doing something for Evansville's 200th anniversary this year. A steering committee was formed to develop a plan for our club.

At our December meeting, Bob Gwaltney told about his new picture book and how he went about getting it done. Alan Campbell shared some photographs he is planning on using for his picture book.

For our November program, Bob Gwaltney hosted a discussion about your favorite photo websites. We explored many during the meeting. Click here for look at some we covered.

October Program was "Trick or Treat". Member Bob Gwaltney moderated a discussion of various subjects.

Member Allen Campbell showed some magnificent pictures from his trip last year to the Smoky Mountains. He entered one of them in the monthly contest and won first place, so you know they were good.

At our September meeting:

Ivy Tech Student Darryl Smith was our speaker. A top student and a prolific photographer, Darryl shared both his class work and extensive portfolio of personal images. recently Darryl has been leading fellow students on "Star Trail Workshops" where they have been producing stunning images.

At our August meeting:

We had an informal equipment swap meet (some swapped dollars for equipment) and many good items changed hands.

Allen Campbell then gave a pictoral presentation of his recent trip to the Experimental Aircraft Association show in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Amazing photographs, featuring B-29's, DC3's and there were a few with attractive women, just to show us that Allen is capable of taking a diverse variety of photographs.

The Library is the usual home of the Fine Arts Camera Club which meets on the second Tuesday of the month at 7:00pm. Meetings are open to all.
Members should bring a photograph or two for our casual in-house competition. And bring a friend too.
